An Iowa judge denied a motion to compel evidence by attorneys for Cristhian Bahena Rivera, a 27-year-old Mexican national who was convicted in May of murdering 20-year-old Mollie Tibbetts, calling the defense's motion "nothing more than a fishing expedition."
